If we want to leave our future generations with a truly sustainable world, we must find a way to develop and coexist with forests, rivers and oceans and ensure they are teeming with life, not plastic.

WHY DOES IT MATTER?

WHAT IS WWF- KENYA DOING?

Working with the plastic warriors in coastal Kenya alongside the four county governments of Mombasa, Kwale, Kilifi and Lamu and a number of stakeholders within the plastic value chain, WWF-Kenya in partnership with DANIDA through the WWF Denmark office is in the process of implementing a 10-15 years project to demonstrate and expand an inclusive business model for recycled plastic waste in Kenya, where women, men and youth have the skills, knowledge and technology to turn the plastic pollution into profit-generating activities and decent and dignifying jobs.
